Gauravam is a 1973 Tamil movie directed by Vietnam Veedu Sundaram starring Sivaji Ganesan, Nagesh, Major Sundarrajan, Ushanandini and Pandari Bhai in lead roles.
Rajinikanth is a veteran lawyer who has never lost a case in the court. Kannan (Sivaji Ganesan) is his nephew who is brought up like a son who is god fearing and amiable young man. Mohandas (Major Sundarajan) murders his wife and Rajinikanth appears on behalf of him at the court and Mohandas is thus acquitted by the court. Meanwhile Mohandas’s fiancee dies in the bathtub and Rajinikanth appears again on Mohandas’s behalf.
